The Vivos® System is a non-surgical appliance-based therapy that addresses the underlying cause of obstructive sleep apnea.
Unlike a CPAP machine, the Vivos® System offers permanent relief from mild-to-moderate obstructive sleep apnea. It specifically helps with jaw malformations such as maxillary hypoplasia and mandibular retrognathia. Maxillary hypoplasia occurs when the upper jaw is underdeveloped and mandibular retrognathia occurs when your lower jaw is set too far back. These issues can create a narrow airway, which may prevent you from breathing correctly while you sleep.
Is Treatment Right for Me?
We will perform an in-depth exam which includes an in-home sleep study, a thorough head and neck exam, and a CBCT scan. From there, we will see if you are a suitable candidate for treatment with The Vivos® System.
If The Vivos® system is right for you, we will construct and custom fit your appliances. You will need to wear diligently for the course of treatment, which can range from 12-24 months. Occasional adjustments will be made throughout your treatment.
Most patients start to feel the effects as early as a few days or a few weeks.
When treatment is finished, many patients are symptom-free and no longer need to use a CPAP machine.

How Does The Vivos® System Work?
The Vivos® System presents a revolutionary way to correct the shape of the jaw without surgery. The Vivos® System utilizes two appliances. One or both appliances may be necessary for your individualized treatment.
The DNA (Daytime-Nighttime Appliance) is worn on the roof of your mouth. This appliance exerts gentle pressure, which slowly widens the upper palate.
The mRNA (Mandibular Repositioning Nighttime Appliance) trains the lower jaw to sit in a slightly more forward position.
These appliances create small physiological changes that improve your sleep and may eliminate the need for a CPAP machine.
